This might sound like a stupid question, but I like to be 100%...I've got lots of what must be bloody show, and contractions 5-7 minutes apart, 40-50 secs long, that only slowed down (became 6-10 apart) when I took an hour to lie down. Sound promising? I'm 39 weeks and 6 days...

Well as a mother of three, I believe that you are in labor. You would have been in false labor if the contractions stopped or slowed significantly....but they didn't. I never had bloody show...but I had a baby last year and I too was like you and was afraid to go to tjhe hospital for fear the contractions would stop and I would be sent home (babyless). After panting around the house for an hour, I got to the hospital and was told that had I waited just 20 minutes longer, I would have had the baby at home!! My daughter was born about 30 mins after I got to the hospital. Better safe than sorry.

Yes, it definitely sounds promising. When your contractions don't slow down regardless of what you do, they become 5 minutes apart and stronger than you can head to the hospital. Eat very lightly, keep hydrated and get some more rest, you'll need it.

Congratulations, I wouldn't plan on going anywhere but to the hospital. And if I were you I would get up and vacuum and move around slowly. Get that baby to drop! If this is your first one you could be in that hospital bed a while. You should also put a pad on because if your water does break they will be able to see the color of the fluids. Good luck!!!!!!

sounds like prelabor to me, because labor intensifies and grows stronger with time and does not slow down or stop due to actvities you may do (such as sleeping, walking, showering, etc).

call the doctor to be sure OF COURSE!

and head to the hospital when they are 2 or 3 minutes apart if this is your first.

factor a million: each occasion has to discover volunteers to stand as applicants. no longer adequate volunteers - no longer adequate applicants. factor 2: status in a hopeless ward, regardless of the certainty that proper for all of the national events, isn't consistently functional, and, of course, fees funds. status skill putting up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. factor 3: In 2007 i do no longer think of any occasion is fielding applicants in better than 60% of all of the council seats up for election. there's a ward close to me that's surely solidly Tory. some years in the past the Tories could no longer come across a candidate. Nor might desire to the different occasion different than Labour. So he gained the seat by skill of default. the guy replace right into a usually occurring previous staunch socialist and it replace into truly ironic that he spend 4 years representing a extreme Tory rural ward. The Tories made valuable they placed up a candidate 4 years later. P.S. once you are going to quote Shakespeare you may desire to a minimum of know it. "Wherefore" truly skill "why are you", no longer "the place are you". Juliet replace into asking why Romeo had to be from a kinfolk with whom hers had a feud.

Sounds very promising!!!! It sounds to me as if its very likely that you are in labour!! Try and get as much rest as you can as you are going to need your strength as your labour progresses. Make sure you put a plastic sheet on the bed just incase! Good luck! :0)
