If America had no liberals, nothing would have ever changed. Southerners would still be owning slaves. Women would not have equal rights and the civil rights movement would have never happened.
In fact, America would have never been founded. It was founded by RADICAL liberals. The Tories, defined as conservatives, stayed loyal to the crown.
If there were no left-wingers Democracy would have never taken hold in Europe either. The original "left-wing" stood for democracy. The right-wing stood for monarchy and fuedalism.

None. There has never been a country like ours in the past.
Today, the ACLU wants to give more rights to child molesters than to children, and for some reason, they want to fight the Boy Scouts at every turn.
They are probably the main reason I choose not to be liberal.
