Just wondering. I read a book about it and did some research. I was skeptical, but told a few different people with different cancers in different stages about it. I'm not going to go into details, but my opinion is that it didn't help anyone. I do know one lady who claims her cancer was cured because of this. She refused chemo or any other treatments and her cancer went away. But, that's just one person and what she said. Does anyone have anything positive to say about it?

Here's a testimonial I personally received by email. Of course this is just anecdotal but you did ask if ANYONE had ever reported success:

"I have a testimony to tell as a result of using your essiac tea. My girlfriend in Georgia informed me of this tea after I told her I was diagnosed with thynoma. I got on the tea before it was time for chemo, and was on the tea for 8 weeks and had 2 rounds of chemo. My immune system never dropped, never lost my appetite, no nausea or vomiting and today I got my CAT scan results back. The doctor was astounded at the results. He said this was miraculous, and this made his Christmas. I said not just my Christmas, this made his year, not knowing I was taking the tea., I just didn't let him know. --Jeanette Young "

Yes, Essiac Tea, in conjunction with proper diet and additional supplements can be quite beneficial. The biggest thing to remember when working with herbal therapies and vitamins is that no two people are alike; therefore, no two people will respond the same way to the same treatment. The most effective way to take dietary supplements is under the supervision of an herbalist who does kinesiology (muscle testing). That way, you're taking the supplements you need in the correct amounts.

Novelos' pipeline of drugs is based on oxidized glutathione, a natural metabolite that is part of the glutathione pathway. This pathway is the primary determinant of intracellular redox (oxidation/reduction) potential and, as such, plays a key role in cell protection (e.g. detoxification) and in regulation of cell signaling pathways (e.g. leading to cytokine production). Novelos’ lead products are believed to act, in part, via post-translational modification (glutathionylation) of critical regulatory proteins that mediate processes including immune function, cell proliferation and tumor progression (in combination with chemotherapy). They may also sensitize tumor cells to certain chemotherapeutic drugs by modifying drug detoxification processes.
