another thing...two weeks ago i was having bad stomache pain and the doctor gave me a shot to treat PID (pelvic inflamatory disease) but she didnt run any tests to determine if it was that. i have had it before and in order for the doctor at that time to determine what was wrong did an ultrasound. i think my doctors are quacks.

Call your doctor. This maybe a sign of preterm labor.

I would call your doctor and/or go to the hospital right away. Always better to err on the side of caution. The fact that you had lost weight on your last visit and that you have had severe diarrhea for a week should be of concern. Diarrhea causes dehydration and, given how long you have had it, it has probably caused you to lose even more - potentially jeopardizing your baby. Call your doctor now! No one at the doctor's office or hospital will be upset with you if it is a false alarm, but you sure will be upset with yourself if something is really wrong and you didn't do anything.

Yes. Your body needs more room and 'clearing your bowl' helps .
HOWEVER!!! A week is to long. And 30% loss of what you gained is WAY to much.
Go see your doctor.
You will need food supplements. Diarrhea does not only drain water it also flushes out minerals and other stuff you need very badly.
Buttermilk is a great way to replenish it but you should ask your doctor for advise on the diarrhea and regaining weight.

Sounds like you are preparing for labor...it is fine and unless the loose stool is enough to dehydrate you then nothing to worry about, remember you have had this little one pushing on your pelvic area, which includes the bowels, intestines and stomach. So now that it is beginning to drop for delivery then things will rush in to full service.

Well I am also pregnant and I was told by my doctor that if diarrhea lasts for more than 3 days I should call the clinic... so probably you should call your doctor..

Definitely see a doctor just to be sure. Diarrhea can be a terrible illness, and certain types can cause complications.

When i was pregnant with my son his heel was against my intestines. He was kicking them quit often and the Dr. said that was causing me to have diarrhea I think you should still see your Dr. to be on the safe side.
