The flames will win this series because of players like Langkow and Huselius, on the second line, each had 77 points during the regular season. Its not just the Iginla show anymore. Calgary's defense is questionable though and it remains to see if Kipprusoff will be hot or not, which he will need to be since Calgary will get outshot by a significant margin. Their series was split 2-2 during the regular season.
The Red Wings have a decent team and will be a dominant team in the future. However, this year they will go into the series overconfident and not take the flames seriously, thereby insuring their demise in 6.

The only thing that kept the Flames from being where Detroit is right now is their road record. Both the Flames and Wings were dominant at home, and if Calgary can find a way to win at least one of the games in Hockey Town, they will win the series. I wouldn't put any big money on Calgary though, Detoit is a solid team through and through. Should be a great series.

Calgary and Detroit will be an amazing series, but hate to burst your bubble....Calgary will win.
Calgary's road record was bad this year, but remember, in the playoffs you don't have shoot-outs or 4-4 overtimes, it is all 5-5 and Calgary was one of the best teams even strength. Give the physical play advantage to Calgary (even with the injured Bert in Detroit), the offence to Calgary, the defence edge to Detroit, and the goaltending to Kipper and you end up with a Calgary win in 6!!
And to those who say Calgary backed into the playoffs, as the Colorado coach said....they didn't back in, they won 6 in a row when they needed to, keeping the Avs on the outside looking in. Then again, I think the Avs are more deserving then half of the eastern conference teams....

Calgary reminds me of the New Jersey teams when they won the Cup. They were built for the playoffs. They knew the Cup was the goal, and they only had to finish in the top 8 in the regular season, otherwise the regular season was nothing to them.
(Sorry if it offends you but) Detroit is a team built to win in the regular season. And they win in the regular season all the time, then lose in the playoffs. They added Hasek and Bertuzzi. Shanahan left. They kept the soft forwards, even gave a lot of money to soft forwards recently, and added some soft defensemen. Hasek is good, Bertuzzi is good at times. But against the Flames this is not enough.

With Lidstrom and Zetterberg, and if the Bertuzzi experiment turns out in the Wings' favor as well, they would be an extremely tough team to beat. Datsyuk and Lang need to produce too.
