If they are on a talk show or at a political rally or something like that I have no problem with.
But if you give them an audience under the pretence of a concert and have to listen to their political views. Well that isnt what ya paid for.
Do your political commentary on your own dime.
Thats how I feel about celebrities regarding that.
A few years back I was at a concert and Ted Nugent was the opener. Now he has been a long time NRA guy and he had to bust out with his anti gun control and brady bill stuff at the time. I didnt really apprecaite that either.
If I pay to see you perform music, then thats what I expect to get not political thoughts from an amateur who knows nothing more than anyone else.

Get over it! Who are you or the president to take away the right of Freedom Of Speech? It was a good thing for those of us who still have the brains to know that we have a right to say what we want. Who did it hurt? Did it take money out of your pocket? Didn't think so. At least they exercised their rights as an American. Now, people are so chicken______ that they are afraid to say what is on their mind.......Geeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I never thought they were unpatriotic for what they said...we *do* have freedom of speech here! But I *did* think it was in extremely poor taste to bash our President in a foreign country, especially with all that was going on at the time.
What pissed me off was when that cow Natalie Maines starting whining about how ignorant country music fans are - the very people who made her rich!! Typical liberal elitist.

They and Neil youthful have been booed for being anti-war and undergo in concepts France have been against it too and a few fool began calling french fries 'freedom fries'. the guy has brainwashed too many human beings questioning 'war is sweet' Conservatives are what's destroying usa. death to the corrupt Conservative flow!

To me, any kind of celebrity who thinks they can "change my mind" regarding who to vote for or what to believe in is not worth my time or money.
I don't pay for anything anti-American-including opinions and their music/movies/propaganda. The only thing I can say about those who seem to know more about the world and politics than average Americans is this: "When you have a thought, let it go."

My take has always been, since 2001, that:
Blind Obedience to a corrupt leader is not Patriotism.
People would do well to think for themselves.

It seems the fear level has lifted enough to call Bush what he really is now. With a new Congress there is even the possibiliity of investigating the myriad of crimes.
