It can be done, but you'll need some florist equipment to do it correctly. A friend of my family worked as a florist, so she made silk flower bouquets for my wedding. She used the sharp metal clasps and the machine which wraps them around the flower. Then they all poke into the styrohfoam stuff. In the end it looked beautiful, but it was a lot of work.

go to joanns, they have the boquet handle with the lacey backing, then buy the silk flowers you like and some pearl sprays or other pretty add ons they have and lots of ribbon, and some net, and away you go. enjoy. i made my daughters dress, boquet and hat for her first wedding.
