hang on i'll get my wife to talk to you, she buys everyuthing and then i come back to the phone 5 minutes later and say, " i forgot i've been divorced for 12 years now>", then i hang up.

With telemarketers I pretend to have two personalities. If it is a legitimate collector, I work out a payment plan and get them off of my back!

First I check the caller ID, if it is an 800 or 866 number I don't answer it. If one sneaks by I tell bill collectors " go ahead take a number and turn me over to collection " and hang up. As far as telemarketers go I have told them many things. IF they are selling pools I tell them I can't swim, If they want to side my house I tell them I live in a travel trailer. If they have an approved mortgage for me I tell them " then send me the check" or if they are selling vacations I tell them "I am blind, how in the hell am I going to enjoy a vacation?

telemarketers don't call because I joined the no call list.
collectors, the couple times they've had to call I worked out a payment plan to pay my bills off! I am not a dead beat!

Caller ID means I never have to say another word to telemarketers.

Well it depend on my mood. If im bored or feeling good i'll just mess with them. makew the keep stopping , putting them on hold,m asking them to start from the beggining,pointless chat etc... Some of them hang up.

when they call, esp. at around 7-8 pm.. i say.....oh..please hold on a minute,
then just put the phone down and do what i was doing....after maybe 5-7 minutes they get the hint I AM NOT COMING BACK...and they STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE CALL!!!!
