Do you notice/does it bother you when you hear language on primetime shows on NBC, CBS, Fox, etc.? I'm talking about when you hear things like, "Oh my God," "What the hell," the b word, etc. This kind of thing bothers me. And most of the time it could be left out with no real difference to the program. Am I alone in this or do others agree?

It relies upon on the age group...a million-3 or 4 300 and sixty 5 days olds have a large number of issues to visual show unit like Barney, Backyardigans, and many different exhibits that coach them approximately sharing and different ingredient childrens could learn at a youthful age. then 4-11 300 and sixty 5 days olds have yet another group of exhibits for them between Nick, sketch community and Disney. then the age group that would watch almost something from ABC to the invention Channel to cleansing soap internet to action picture Channels. i think of that at present there are a number of extra possibilities to visual show unit.

If you think people saying "oh my God" and "what the hell" are bad, dont watch the Sopranos. Honestly it doesnt bother me. If a nuke went off on 24 and Jack utter "Oh my goodness" people would snicker, "oh my god is a narural reaction to that situation" its more realistic. But then again I'm a Sopranos fan so I've heard them all.

i agree with u to a certain extent! it could easily be left out- ur right, but taking it off tv isn't gonna stop how the world it! its like vegitarians- they think that by not eating animals it is gonna stop them from being killed. even if there was no more cussing on tv, i still hear more cuss words at school in one day than a weeks worth of television!

I agree that there's way too much obscene talk and/or gestures on TV that children should not hear or see, but that goes for everything (polls & surveys sometimes) in this world today and it's a shame.Believe me I'm no prude, I can curse up a storm, but I'm not on TV.

art is supposed to be a representation of real life, therefore i think that censoring the language of tv programs inhibits the ability of the actors to accurately portray their characters.

furthermore, all major broadcasting companies have ratings on every show which tells if the content is suitable for all audiences. if you do not want to see adult content shows, you can easily block them.

The day Dick Cheney shrieked "Go **** yourself" repeatedly on the floor of the Senate in a fit of hysteria, all language became fair game in any and all situations.

First of all, to "george C", - everyone has a right to their opinion. So, if you are going to answer a question, answer, if not shut up!!! And to answer this question - I agree with you. There is really no need for any of the expletives. It is just stupid. Just like when there is a great action movie with mostly male actors, and they throw this chick in for no reason - stupid!!!!
