well, the way the pre-nup reads, if I understand you correctly, what was his before the marriage will remain his, what was yours will remain yours. Does the pre-nup cover what was gained as a couple in the marriage? Unless specified, any assets that were acquired jointly should belong to both of you.
Personally, I would try to talk to my husband about it. Point out that you were unaware and still unclear about the pre-nup agreement and you would like to revisit it.
If he refuses, then get a lawyer and show him/her the pre-nup. Ask about assets gained during the marriage. If the conditions of the pre-nup are unacceptable to totally unfair to you, then you should be able to (as long as your husband is a reasonable man) mediate the agreement to ensure that all parties are equally protected under the agreement.

No...i do no longer think of it rather is prohibited to interrupt a marriage settlement. I propose....you haven't any longer unquestionably gotten married yet, the terrific option? you merely have the marriage license......nicely if that is so and you merely have been given the license and pull out of the marriage until eventually now the ceremony and until eventually now the priest or magistrate indications it then you definately must be cool to call issues off. the marriage licenses in u.s. is merely valid for like 6 weeks or 2 months or some thing like that and if no longer married by ability of the time that expires then the marriage license turns into null and void and that's must be that. i do no longer think of she will take you court docket and get something for you calling off a marriage even after the marriage license become bought because of the fact the marriage license has no longer been signed the priest or magistrate and the governor of the state has no longer authorized it as a criminal marriage yet. good success and that i'm hoping all works out for you! i'd merely double verify inclusive of your state workplace the place you gained your marriage license from however to be on the risk-free factor!

Kinda sounds like a pre-nuptial agreement to me and they dont hold up in divorce court so its for not anyway. Wont your husband be surprised when he finds out this. Dont worry about a thing here, besides if it was never notorized then whos to say signed it. Funny how the law works sometimes

There is nothing you can do. Apparently he has been taken before and wanted to make sure it would not happen again. If you did not know what a prenuptial agreement was then you should have seen an attorney or asked someone with some brains to read it for you.

well if you say anything about it then that means your thinking about the future of being divorced and you want to take wats his so if i was you i wud leave it that way, its find to sign a pre- nup just show him in the future you can be a woman and take care of ur self if anything ever happends but the pre-nup doesnt apply to child support if u guys have kids together which is his responsibility also.

Why do you need to change it? Wont you be with him forever? Don't you love him? Doesn't marriage last forever?
You signed it understanding fully what it meant. And if you didn't then that is your problem.
Why change it?

Just talk to him and tell him you want to change it and explain you had no idea what you were signing. You might have to explain yourself though, he will probably think you are trying to leave him and wont want to. Good Luck.
