They're like yucky dried up stinky worms. yuck! but i give them to my betta. they're VERY good for them.... ! Oh you can find them at any pet store- really. Petco, Petsmart, etc...

bloodworms are actually mosquito larvae, not worms. you can buy them at any pet or pet supply store where they sell fish food. they often come in frozen form in the freezer along with other frozen fish foods like brine shrimp. they also sell them in freeze dried form in the little plastic fish food container you are used to seeing.

They're actually the larvae of red mosquitoes -- they're usually frozen, so they're dead and you don't have to worry about an infestation. (Yuk.)
I know in my local petstores, there's a freezer near the fish section somewhere with all sorts of frozen worms and such.

As mentioned a Bait Shop may have them live. I know Wal-Wort have them in the Sporting Goods Section, but, they dead in a jar.
