Hello,

We have boys names picked out with no problem. But, we are struggling with middle names for girls.

My fiance wants something a little different, and since he's been accepting of my first names, I thought I would let him choose middle names. The problem is we are struggling finding enough to choose from. (example: his daughter's middle name is Anda, which is different)

The two possible girls' names are:

Amelia _______________ Croak
Olivia ________________ Croak

Please help me fill in the blanks! Thanks!

You're right that one syllable works best. Olivia Grace sounds cute and elegant, very acceptable for when she is older. Amelia Rose would be cute too. Or Raine for either of them. There's the fallback of Anne but that's very common, or you could always go with Joy or May. Or Star, or Dawn. June is pretty and uncommon these days. You could even have an Olivia Moon, that would be cute! Amelia Fern would be cute. Olivia Zen, Amelia Blue. There are a lot of cute names.

I have a daughter named Amelia Grace. Though Grace isn't really a "different" name, I think it's beautiful and sounds very nice.

Other ideas...Blair, Blake, Blue, Blythe, Eve, Lark, Love, Wren, Sky, Raine/Rayne, Scout, Star, Teal

Cute names...and good luck. I had my second daughter in 2005 and her one syllable middle name is Reese. It's not extremely different but not that popular either. We spent many days and night online looking at names. There are hundreds!!! I'm sure you'll find something that works for both of you.....and your little one. Congrats!
