"Travelgirl" I have no idea what, >advertising your travel site< had to do with the question and you obviously have no idea what casino dealers actually make in Las Vegas

Dealers can make as little as 20K or up to as much as 90K. These are estimated ranges, because the vast majority of a dealers wages come from "tokes"

Most dealers make $4-$5 per hour, then the rest is tokes. There are very-very few casinos where the dealers make "in the range of" $40 per hour in tokes. >Wynn & Bellagio< were the only ones close the last time I checked.

When I started out the top two were the Desert Inn and Hard Rock.

It "generally" takes a minimum 5 years experience to get a good job at a high paying casino. If you're incredible good looking and highly proficient it would be "possible" to cut that down to a years experience(it's not right, but that's the way it is")

feel free to e-mail me through YA if you have more Q.

I worked for the Flamingo Hilton(dual rate) & Harrah's(dealer) in the casino after I retired - It's a lot of fun, if you have the right personality for the job.

Keep in mind, with a few years experience, you can work anywhere in the country, or around the world on cruise ships.

It depends on the casino really:

Off-Strip and Downtown: $30k - $40k
On-Strip: $40k - $50k

Premium Strip (Caesars Palace): $80k+

I'm hearing Wynn is pushing $60k

Caesars Palace has had many solid years on the Strip. Although it's grown construction wise, It hasn't changed much "internally", so there's always that sense of familiarity with their members. Caesars caters to a lot of high rollers, and tend to keep this relationship pretty tight with them, special promotions and of course - the high class treatment they receive. For this alone, "Caesars' coveted high roller clientèle" pushes the casino as the top in Dealer tips on the Strip.

I sound like a spokesperson for Caesars, but believe it or not, I'm not affiliated with them in any shape or form. Just a semi-frequent customer of the Paris.

It depends on the casino that they work in. I have a friend who works at Bally's and he makes around $35,000 a year. At that casino you get minimum wage PLUS tips. You don't get to the keep the tips you were personally given either...they put tips in a pool and divide it up. Keep in mind that is only one casino and there are so many more on the strip.
Also!! Like most jobs your experience will affect your salary.
