i'd like one with straps that is knee length or only a few inches above. i dont want black..preferably white or light colors. even a medium blue would work. please give me links. i would also like the dress to be found in usual mall stores. no online shopping please.

I'm not sure I understand. Why do you want links if you don't want to shop online?
Even chain stores don't carry the same stock in every store. The best thing you can do is go shopping. It takes time, but you'll usually find what you want. Check the anchor stores in your local mall (Macys, Bon Ton, Sears, etc.). I've always had good luck with the Burlington Coat Factory, if there's one near you.
I don't think I've ever paid more than $30 for a casual dress.

Wetseal they have some of the most beautiful dresses that are knee length all you need is a nice pair of heels and some very pretty jewlery.

Check out target. they have a new line of silk dresses that are a deceint price and very pretty. you can see them online before you go to the store.

maximum probably you'll discover some inexpensive, springy dresses at Walmart, objective, Kohls, probably Filene's Basement. i imagine that's about it notwithstanding, or a minimum of that i understand of. desire I helped!

your local vintage srote is the best place to get any dress. not only do they have party and cocktail dresses, they will also have vintage basic dresses and suits. plus they are usually CHEAP.... check out ur neighbourhood and score some goods!
