10 run ins with police in one year is way too many. I think he deserved a huge fine and the 8 games Henry got, but a whole season? I dunno, that might be a little too harsh, but it does set an example that if you screw around off the field, you get punished, so I think it was a good move by Roger Goodell to do that.

The NFL commish made the right decision by suspending Pacman Jones and Chris Henry .
The NFL has to set a policy for behavior and expect it to be honored .
The NFL is a buisness entity not backyard football where athletes can act out their thuggish fantasies.
Pacman has been arrested five times since 05' and suspended last season for two games .
The charges on Pacman will be serious and he will face multiple lawsuits from the individuals that was shot up .
If Pacman wants to run with his thug crew from the projects and stay in trouble all the time he should not be in the NFL .

Yes , but i was more worried about the fact that Adam Jones had 2 incidents in which he was arrested and did not notify the team of this action. I believe that in itself should merit 8 games for each incident (as both violate NFL rules). There have been a total of 10 incidents and NFL commissioner needed to send a message. I am sorry to see that Adam Jones and Chris Henry were the 2 heavily looked at.

I have personally met Pacman (no I'm not some girl he slept with) and he is the biggest asshole I've ever met in my life. He doesn't deserve to be in the NFL. He is a dog. He's never going to change. He will be this way for the rest of his life. Jail won't even change him. He's a waste of God given talent and that's a shame!!! If I was Commisioner Goodell I would have kicked him out of the league.

Hi,
he deserved suspension but not for one year.
Maybe half-year to make him think about it.
Now, the better question is: What is Pacman going to do during his suspension time off ? Go to Vegas and get in trouble again ?
Dont be surprise to hear that on ESPN some time during the regular season...
note: Most NFL players are trouble anyway. Look at Ray Lewis for instance. Great athlete, bad friends he's got.
Wasn't he involved in something similar too?
I dont know man, If I was rich, famous and a NFL player caliber I wouldnt keep all those leaches attached so close to me to bring me down. I believe the mindset is this:
"I can't diss my homies. Theyre my friends I we go way back before I got famous. But guess what? they also need some growing up to do, not just me...."
Bottom line: Good for the NFL. The players are employed by them and they represent the company wherever they go and do. Behave now or coming september you dont have a job. Period.

J Dub he didn't go to jail 10 times he was trialed 10 times but was not convicted or charged ten times actually he has never been to jail. I think he needs a little time to cool of maybe he should of got a 10 game suspension. As for the question No ADAM PAC MAN JONES SHOULD NOT BE SUSPENDED FOR 1 YEAR.

man was created to live forever, Adam certainly was. God told him he would die the day he ate of the fruit. 2 Pet 3:8 A day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day. So, Adam died before he was 1000 yrs old because he died the day he ate. (not to mention spiritual death). Anyway before the flood it never rained on the earth, water came up from the ground. In Gen 1:6 when God says he set the sky between the waters on the earth and there were waters above the sky, the earth was surrounded by a sheild of water that caused a greenhouse effect all over the earth. This also protected humans from harmful sun rays and other harmful elements that would have aged them quickly. This water shield above the sky fell during the time of the flood. After the flood God told Noah that mankind was to be given only 120 yrs. And then the length of humans lives began to drastically decrease.

short answer, no, not a year.
with no previous suspensions and no actual guilty charges, there isn't justification for a full year. Chris Henry got 8 games, and he has been previously suspended. being a person of interest and not charged in many of the 10 cases doesn't warrant a full year, and he should challange it in the courts.
everybody talks about the money and being a professional, but what everyone fails to realize is people with everyday jobs get DUIs, beat women, and get into fights, but they don't have to report it to their job. they don't have to tell anyone. they can keep their job and go on with their lives. but yet we hold people who play a game for a living to a higher standard? what sense does that make? there's a high likelyhood that some one on this message board has done the crimes that he's been accused of, actually be found guilty, and kept their job. is that fair? and for anyone who thinks dude up top is wrong for saying it's racist, racism has been institutionalized. you might not say it or think it, but things aren't set up for minorities and this is an example of it...

No, he hasn't been convicted of any crime yet. In America we are innocent until proven guilty. Pacman didn't violate any NFL rules either. A couple days ago Goodell was talking about how much he wanted to help these troubled players. Suspending them isn't going to help them, since playing football is more likely to help them stay out of trouble than doing nothing and not having a job. If Goodell wants to ban players for violating NFL rules, he should actually create those rules so that players know not to violate them.

Absolutely. He should be happy that it wasn't a total ban from the league. Good to see Goodell coming down hard on Pacman and Chris Henry. Maybe others will learn and start acting like the professionals they are suppose to be.
