I never liked Imus & never could take more than 3 minutes of listening to him - but that don't make Sharpton right . He's quick to point fingers at anybody who isn't the same color he is - but he never says sorry when he is frequently dead wrong . It nauseated me to know that Imus jumped in Sharpton's hoop . I heard black callers on every radio show I listened to yesterday , say Sharpton does not speak for them . Apparently he just speaks for the radical liberals . .
In Seinfeld's 7th Season , he uses the word "nappy" a few times . Did Sharpton & Jessie High-Jackson picket the network ? That idiot John Kerry bragged that he listened to rap music everyday , when he was trying to get elected president . Not all - but much of rap contains some of the most vile ; violent ; sexually explicit & racist lyrics I have ever heard uttered in public - Yet , here's a liberal senator running for president , who not only condones it - but gives his personal endorsement . Then along comes a so called "good ol' boy" , Imus , who never says anything prophetic on his best day - and he gets taken to his knees for uttering free speech - that doesn't come close to the crap that gets played in public day in and day out . The mainstream media is just as bad - if not worse than Sharpton because they encourage this insanity .

i think highly of both Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. i like them because they are vocal and make sure that they are heard. otherwise the same shenanigans would be continuing. what really happened was that imus was so full of himself, thinking he was a demigod, thinking he was better than everyone else. he even thought he could make his listeners believe he was a god. well this time around he picked people that are loved by america. people that are not criminals, hard working young women that were doing the job that they got a scholarship for. people that were representing the cream of the crop. women that if not for only one thing being born into a race that he despised. we all know what he meant. in other words he was saying i don't care if you are a model citizen, i don't care if you are a good person, all i care about is making you guys the butt of my joke. he should have called President Bush wife a nappy headed ho and see what would have happened? like they say what comes around goes around a thousand times, round and round. i'm glad he got fired he deserved that more than the girls deserved his ridicule. before you go around calling people a ho, make sure their not loved by everyone. if any of you rutgers players are reading this, keep your eyes on the prize. stay focused, he didn't make you and he sure can't break you.

First of all, a lot more black ppl than you care to realize disagree and disapprove of the lyrics in Pop Hip Hop. I say Pop Hip Hop cause it's mostly suburban white teens buyin the cds. Real Hip Hop is completely different. Need an example of real Hip Hop, check out Common and Dead Prez. The ones you speak of are just tryin to make a buck and could careless whose neck they step on to get it, even if it's their own.
Secondly all ppl of all races are racist in some fashion or another. To say that blacks are more racist is an ignorant comment. Just because "some" blacks are overtly racist doesn't mean the entire race is more racist.
In conclusion, since you are not black you would have NO IDEA what the "black community" thought about OJ Simpsons guilt. I'll let you in on it. OJ was guilty, we could care less. Why you ask. Simple, there was an ASTOUNDING number of black men murdered behind white women and their lies. Don't even think about saying "but that was 1000 yrs ago". Heck didn't that one white woman say some black man killed her kids when in fact she drowned them herself? Oh, I guess she didn't count.

I Don't feel what he said was all that bad
I am a young black male and i can honestly tell
He only stated what was on allot of people minds
for instance we ridicule ourselves allot worse than any white person would we degrade our women with 95% of the Hip Hop bull**** we listen too, and if you ever walked pass a news stand in NY were I'm from all you would see is half naked black women with their asses out so called video Vixens..see..king magazine and a mag called blackmen.
Quite Frankly I'm more embarrassed by Pac Man Jones than Don Imus . Because he makes us all look like "URBAN APES"as one gentleman stated . Who cares about Don Imus
YOUNG JEEZE is far more ignorant and uncensored

P.S i Admire your dialog ,but your bait and hook comment about OJ reveals your agenda sorry that you are not truly
one of the level heads that you speak of.

To say that any race of people are racist , is a racist comment
you have to be insanely ignorant and or stupid to not realize this as being fact....

Well email me......ill tell u some crap you never heard of. Al Sharpton, what a joke. He struts around like a little bannie rooster every time a so called racists remark surfaces. Look up Tawaiana Brawley and see what happen in that case he was responsible for. Hes a fart sniffer, every time he thinks there is a bad odor in america he has his nose in the middle of it.

If lyrics and words are going to be labeled racist, then it needs to be on a national scale and not based on a skin scale. If it is good enough to be said by some, then it is good enough to be said by all, or not.
People need to make up their mind on what they want and not have it what ever way they choose on that day depending if the sun is shining or not.

FYI~~Blacks and others can only be prejudice-an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.

whites are the only group of people that can be racist, do to a misconceived notion that they are superior over everyone else!

His comments are wrong on many levels! Him and artist that make money off of the degrading women are wrong no matter the color. The fact he said over a nationally syndicated radio and TV show makes it defamation of character!!!

"The term defamation of character is often used to describe accusations of slander, libel or both. Slander involves verbal derogatory statements, while libel involves written ones. In a court of law, the plaintiff pursuing the lawsuit would charge defamation of character to cover any form of false or damaging allegations."

I feel they stick their nose in where it is not needed. If we wanted judgement , perhaps we could pray to God, He is the only Judge that counts. Maybe they should check their own "backyard."
