First of all, CONGRADULATIONS!
Secondly, it's difficult to give advice about such matters when I don't know what either of you like or enjoy.
My husband and I just had our 13 yr anniversary (relationship, not wedding... Our 8 yr wedding anniversary will be coming up in a few months.)...
This is what we did...
We bought gifts for each other and exchanged them while on a picnic that I planned for us. Then, later that evening, we went out for dinner and a movie. And, after that, we went shopping for some "goodies" while planning a passionate night together. It was so much fun. As for the gifts... I bought him a watch that he had been wanting for a while and a bottle of his favorite wine. He bought me a stuffed kitty that ''meows'' and purrs, a ''bouquet'' of glass flowers, and one of those huge cards that stand as tall as a kitchen table.
Y'all might not like any of the above, but I thought that telling you what we did might give you some ideas.
Hope you have a great time!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Well, you could do many things, depending on how much time you have to plan. If you have a while, you could take a hot air baloon ride together during sunset follwing a nice dinner at your favorite place to eat, or you could go sky diving, that is rememberable.. or there is the weekend get a way, where you find a littel place to stay and just relax and be with eachother outside of the home.. or have a fun night out to a comedy club and enjoy eachother's laughs.. go to the place where you had your first date.. lots to do.. but as long as your together on that day..no matter what you end up doing should be worth it. Good luck!

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Rent a boat (like a house boat if you can afford it) and spend a few days out on the water away from land. Explore the coast lines of whatever lake, ocean or river your on. And spend time out in the middle of the water all alone with no one around for miles and miles except the 2 of you.

My friend and her bf just went on a cruise to the Bahamas and said it was beautiful. I think it's a good idea, you guys get to be alone and spend some nice quality time together. It is expensive so if you can't do that, you can spend a romantic night at home, maybe cook for him with candles, and sit and talk about memories with him. Good Luck. Congrats.

Do you have kids to be included? If so go on a family picnic! If no kids... Then take him to a cool dinner, action movie or out on the town to just enjoy yourselves. Or cook at home for him and rent a movie to enjoy by your selves.

Go out for a nice dinner and exchange gifts. Maybe Olive Garden or a fancy place of your choice.
