I haven't read a book in the longessst time, and I'm really looking forward to going to the book store tomorrow, to pick something up that I can really get into. My imagination seems so drained lately! Anyway, just to tell you a bit about me and what kind of book I may like, I'm a teenage girl...I can be pretty girlish, so I'd like a really good romance, but I'm also really into getting scared so a really intense thriller or mystery might be good too :) Anyway, let me know if you have any suggestions!

Just in case you want to try something a little out of your ordinary kind of book...

"Life As We Knew It" by Susan Beth Pfeffer - a little bit science fiction, a little bit romance, a lot about survival and "what if." Don't let the science fiction angle throw you. What happens is that the moon is hit by an asteroid, and it throws it out of its normal orbit, changing the gravitational pull and tides on Earth. This affects coastlines around the world, there is a huge breakdown in communications and the government, a food shortage, and sickness. All of it is told by a teenage girl, so the language is natural and understandable. This book was riveting.

Another one sort of like this that I liked was "How I Live Now" by Meg Rosoff. This one is about a girl who goes to stay with her cousins in England, but while she's there, the country goes to war and the kids have to learn to survive on their own. She falls in love with her cousin while she's there and it was interesting how the book ended, with a kind of "afterword" chapter about what happened to the two of them years later. It's much better than I made it sound; the narrator's voice was very believable and the writing was just like you were listening to someone talk.

Try the seies by Janet Evanovich which starts with "1 for the Money".( The first 1 is the worst of the bunch, but still good. )She has up to 12 so far, 13 is due out this summer. They are very funny mysteries, with an on-going love triangle. Good Luck!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

I read it in grade 11 and it was really good...had some pretty graphic parts though..so you have to be over 18 to read it apparently..that's what the library said...so my mom had to say I could read it..but even now at 20 I still love the book.
