HELP! I really need to get away soon anywere just not here!?

i havnt really got a lot of money but i do need to go away to clear my head ... any ideas.. i have 1 child 2 yr old!

a few things wrong i just need some ideas were to go when you havnt got alot of money... so stressed out!

I find that the quiet places in the country are good for getting away from it all and clearing your head. If you're relying on public transport then much of the countryside is hard to get to as there's limited (if any) bus and train services.

I don't know how practical it would be for you but maybe spend a few days in the Scottish Highlands. It's very quiet and peaceful, the scenery is amazing and the people are so friendly. It's a different pace of life altogether and a great way to unwind. There's a great many small bed and breakfast places which you can book into for about £20 a night.

If that's not practical or doesn't appeal then perhaps somewhere on the coast could be worth considering.

Do you have any family that live away from the area, that could pick you and your child up and stay with them. The good weather is here why not camp out in the fresh air of the Lakes or Peak District. That is a cheap way of being away.

I don't know whereabout you live in Manchester. How about taking your child for a picnic at Heaton Park? My child is also 2yr old, she demands a lot of time and attention so I know how hard work they are. I took her to Heaton Park via the tram (your child travels free), took a ball, picnic basket and a few books. There is a lot to do so take a pram too. We were there for 4hrs and had a great, cheap day out. Good luck.

maybe you could just go to a relatives or a good friends for a week with the little one. If all else fails go to the store buy a weeks worht of food and stay inside with the little one. DOnt answer the phone, book time off work, and enjoy the time alone with the little one. Go the park, the zoo, meseum etc...

I'd suggest Butlins or Pontins as if yopu're on your own with an infant child you won't want to go too far or abroad.

If it must be abroad, look on SkyScanner.net for a flight, and search Expedia.co.uk or LastMinute.com for a decent reasonable hotel within your budget somewhere like the South of France (Carcassone ?) for a week or so.

all i can say is i know how u feel, but i know from past experience if u are on income support they can help with holidays, especially if u not had one for quite a while. but i know of some charitable organisations who can sort holidays out .i think u would find these out from health visitors who u can usually find at ur gp. u may even find it on the internet

try heading off to the beach somewhere, always helps to sort my head out, and children love the beach! somewhere like rhyl or llandudno in north wales are easy to get to by train from manchester, and theres a load of fun things to do for your toddler!! enjoy! x

Scotland. Cheap by train, or more comfortable by plane.

Lots to see and do, also quiet countryside and wildlife to lose yourself in.

Cheap B&Bs or you can rent a cottage, near beaches etc.

Haven Holidays are good for a getaway. Prices depend on length, accomodation type and site you stay on. I recommend it though for a good experience.
