I would assume you haven't seen any really improvement in the fish during this treatment. Epsom salts are good for a variety of illnesses in fish, but frankly popeye is not one that can be treated with epsom salts effectively. If you fish has improved I would credit that to the improved water quality during the treatment and the possible reduction in other pathogens due to the addition of salts to the tank.

If you haven't seen improvement in your fish, I would suggest you start a treatment based on antibiotics. Furanace or Maracyn 2 are good treatments for popeye. A 14 day treatment is recommended as popeye is actually an internal infection.

If you have seen improvement, continue what you are doing for 7 days past the last indication of pop eye is gone.

Epsom salts is used for constapation in fish, and has no effect for pop eye. Just having cleaner water and using your meds will aid in the cure of popeye.

You can stop adding salt to your fish bowl now. Be sure to do another water change. If the popeye returns, start treating with you meds again.
