Coconut is highly nutritious and rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It is classified as a "functional food" because it provides many health benefits beyond its nutritional content. Coconut oil is of special interest because it possesses healing properties far beyond that of any other dietary oil and is extensively used in traditional medicine among Asian and Pacific populations. Pacific Islanders consider coconut oil to be the cure for all illness. The coconut palm is so highly valued by them as both a source of food and medicine that it is called "The Tree of Life." Only recently has modern medical science unlocked the secrets to coconut's amazing healing powers.
Anyway, after reading this article, I think I am going to start eating coconut everyday. Click the link below to read. This certainly would be good for you and your baby.

Yes that's perfectly fine but you need something with a little more sustenance that will stick to your stomach. And basically you can eat everything except fish high in mercury, unpasteurized cheese, and under cooked meat. EDIT: To the lady above me, eating fish that are known to be high in mercury such as swordfish, is not ok.

I've never read anything saying they aren't okay, so I would go ahead. I'm sure I ate coconut during my first pregnancy, and my son is perfect.

what would make you think it's not safe? You should eat whatever you're hungry for because your body tells you what it needs.
