I feel he should have retired like 2-3 seasons ago. You need to give up the game when people still remember you as a great player. Don't tarnish your reputation by playing to long.

No way, he is still in the top half of QB's in the NFL. That is saying alot, considering his age. The Packers went 8-8 last year, and improved from the year before. Farve cut his Int's in half and played much better. Why should he retire? He still loves to play the game and is still pretty good at it. If the Packers didnt have Farve, they would have been 4-12. Is Aaron Rogers still the "back up"?

Believe it or not farve is still a pretty good QB, alot ints are in catch up mode, green is not the same, either is the oline, the screen is not as potent, stinking d, weaker special teams, the constant is, as a fb player farve hasnt matured, still the same kid throwing balls across his body and zipping stuff through small windows, maybe if moss joins the club those up-for-grabs will look like perfectly thrown deep balls. i dont think the pack would have a better record w/o farve. aaron rogers will know how to compete/enjoy/live the game once its his turn.

Depends. If you want the Packers to have a chance to make the playoffs and be a Wild Card contender then its good that he came back.
If you are looking towards the future then giving experience to Rodgers for a year or two is the way to go. However he is not too old to play... hes still got more zip in his throw than 75% of the starting QB's in the NFL and he does bring leadership to a team that really has no one else on offense except Driver.

he doesnt play the way he used to, but he isnt washed up. he still has a lot left in the tank and had a decent year with a very very very young team last year. i give him kudos for that. its more then his skills that the fans look at with him. its his leadership and personality (big role model) that brings the team together. he tries to inspire players on the team to play with heart as opposed to money. to GB he is more than a guy that can throw the ball, he is everything else. plus, the packers dont have a qb ready to play. aaron rodgers has not shown anything up to this day. favre brings hope to the team to win games, and that is not an easy task for any qb on a young team like the packers.

Well, he still enjoys the game and has a pretty good arm. But it's about his time, but he is the best option at QB for the Packers at the moment, and if he wants to come back, he has earned through years of hard work to be able to stay as long as he wishes. They SHOULD have made the playoffs last year, can't argue with that.

He almost made the playoffs with a crap team. Sure he was in a weak division but he does still have one of the best arms in the game.
He's better than most QB's(chicago went to the superbowl with half the talent at the QB position) that are starting so i'd go with play till you can't or don't want to.

okay, lets say Brett was 10 years younger than he is now. and still played as he does now. you woulnd't have asked this question... He is a great QB. Going to break 3 or 4 more records this year. I say he should stay as long as he wishes because he is one of the all time greatest QBs.

Brett Favre should never retire!!!! The day he does, a chunk of what he stands for will leave the NFL forever. And he will have an entire league full of dumb punks.

Dear Lord YES! I mean, the guy's amazing - no one can take that away - but he needs to step down. What else does he have to prove? I don't think he has it in him to win another Superbowl, and I don't think Green Bay is good enough yet to make a run for it this year. Aaron Rodgers has had a couple years to learn from the best.......give him a chance to play.
