Sorry but looking at this as a woman and if I had of had a good husband and if his father had been living and if this happened then I wouldn't mind. If I could have done that with him I would of cherished those moments.
I didn't have a good husband, I didn't have a father-in-law. My father was too far gone with cancer to have enjoyed those moments.
My 1st part is all ' Ifs' the second reality, let them enjoy their time together while they can.

if my father had just been told he has cancer...

i wud hope2 recieve love, patience, support & understanding from my spouse...

ofcourse it's out of character.... having cancer or knowing a loved1has cancer is devastating

put this in perspective.. give them a break
do u think maybe some1else here needs2grow up?

p.s. while I think that men in general have their fair share of faults... i think that it's unfair2say that they 'don't ever grow up'-
a few definitely don't but it's the same with some woman!

He sounds grown up to me. A man that spends time with his father after receiving such bad news sounds mature to me.

If your mum told you she had cancer, wouldn't you want to spend some time with her?

Maybe they are just realizing how little time they have together. Men cope with things especially emotional things differently then women. This may be their coping mechanisms.

Just be sensitive sometimes men feel they can be.
