why is it... when you ask a question like this... all of a sudden all the "giving Republicans" roll out of the woodwork...
yet, if you ask a question about funding something that would help others... all of a sudden... you get 20 answers that say "I don't care about anyone else, if they want something they can work for it. I need to keep the money I work for and if anyone else wants anything, they need to get it for themselves"
OH YES, it's like listening to Jesus himself isn't it... the kindness and giving nature on display...
how do people in a party where many clearly have this attitude, give more than people that don't have this attitude?
sounds fishy to me? what do you consider "giving"?

What would I rather do? I'd rather have it that people don't need other people's help but that's just not going to happen and what else is not going to happen is that people who need help somehow disappear. Your question should be -- Do you prefer to keep your eyes open or closed when someone needs help? Most people can recognize people who really need help. Politics shouldn't play into your question.

Answer: Conservatives give from what they earn to a greater degree than liberals...
Liberals believe the government should by force of law redistribute what others have labored to Earn.
I prefer those that willingly give over those that extort from the productive to "buy" support obtained by confiscation extorted with the power of a nanny government.

First of all, i'm a Republican and I love helping others out.
Although-- there comes a point where you can help out so much, then people have to leave to help themselves. I'm not going to hold your hand and wipe your a** for you too...

I do volunteer work, I donate to SEVERAL different charities, I donate my children's outgrown things to kids who need it, I bend over backwards for anyone who needs help, I tithe, I'm a regular blood donor, and .... I'm Republican. Shhh.... don't let it get out - it might ruin the Republican image.
So what do you do to help others?

I do both on my own and do not FORCE other people to be "charitable".
How much of your income over the poverty line have you given to people below the poverty line? 100% right? because you believe so strongly in helping those not as fortunate as you.
You never drive by and hand a $5 to a homeless person from your $30K+ $400 a month car do you? Why not give him your car.

Nice false dichotomy...
I hope you didn't waste too much creative energy on that gem. You'd better conserve all the creativity you can from the looks of your offerings.

I like how they detail the help. Work as a nurse...that's a job you get paid for. Donate more money, Republican's are usually wealthy (If Bill Gates is a liberal I doubt that's true, he donates billions)
Republicans will help you if their is a camera around or its a high profile case like Shivo.

Hmmmmm.... Republicans give a bigger share of their time and income to charity than the Democrats... So I think your a little confused.. the Democrats thinking is - you have two cars... you need to give one to someone who doesn't have a car..... NO THANKS...

Hey now, they do at least pretend to help others. They do buy those $1.05 yellow ribbons to support the war. They just don't actually want to have any taxes go to pay for the war.
