On your previous question, the little sensor on the thermostat housing is NOT for the fan. It's for the gage. (I think)

There is a relay that controls the fan because the fan draws a lot more power than a thermal switch can handle by it's self. (15-20 amps.)
Check your fuses under the dash, and under the hood.
the relay should also be under the hood.

If you ran a hot wire directly to the fan from the battery positive. does it work?

Could be a bad ground, bad fan motor, bad relay, bad thermal switch.
Electrical faults are tough to troubleshoot unless you have the right tools, and know how.

yes you could use that manual. first, unplug fan and run a jumper wire from the + and - terminals of your battery straight to the plug on the fan. if the fan works then your trouble is the relay that turns the fan on as needed.

What fan? In what? Who is Michael? You do realize you started a new question, don't you?
