My brother, coolants differ even from one car to the next. It would not be wise to blindly substitute motorcycle coolant with anything else. You must go strictly by the manufacturer's recommendation or you run the risk of damaging your motor or your cooling system.

It's pretty much the same stuff. Just make sure the coolant is rated for aluminum engines!

is the coolant green or pink? if pink, its dex-cool. pricey stuff, but the majority of the cars are running it now instead of the standard green. it's not a good idea to try to mix the 2. dex-cool will last alot longer also. that's probably the only car thing that i would ever put in my scoot.

If it's not that organic "Dexcool" crap, I'd use Zerex G-05, GOOD stuff, or if there is a Mercedes dealer nearby, get the Mercedes coolant (Mercedes branded). Here is a link to G-05: http://www.valvoline.com/pages/products/product_detail.asp?product=10
OR alternatively, see if Yamaha has their own.
