Most of my friends are in involved with some form of extremely high fashion so they all wear ones from 3inches up. They deal with it.
Best way to learn to walk in them is find your "center". This can best be achieved by holding both arms behind your back and grabbing your elbows with both ands and walking around. Improves posture and helps you center your body on your core which is very important. Heel to Toe!

Depends on the feet of the person wearing the heels. Some women can be graceful and elegant in 6 inch heels, while others will topple like a house of cards in a breeze. It is possible to train yourself into heels, but generally, three or four is about good.

It all depends on the person, growing up in the theater world Ive been wearing heals all my life (however I do not abuse the privlage and love my flats!) so I can wear just about anything with out being bothered. I think the most comfortable is about a 2 1/2 in heal if you are going to be doing alot of walking. With practice your feet and leg muscles will get used to different heights... If you are unsure of what your feet can handle buy the shoe, and wear them at home for a day to make sure they are fine.

Wedges are too adorable to be just for 'novices'. However, they're a well sneakers alternative for finding out to steadiness and stroll with a bigger heel. As others have mentioned, the wider base of wedges presents extra balance as you rise up on the planet. That stated, it's nonetheless customarily a well proposal to begin with a medium top (two - three") heel. You can paintings your solution to bigger and narrower heels as you think extra secure and positive.

I spent much of the later 1970's in 4-5 inch heels...those were as "high" as I could stand (litterally...LOL!!!)
NOTE TO HIGH HEEL LOVERS: I just had to have knee replacement at age 48 (have needed it for about 4 years...just now, close enough to "old enough" to qualify for replacement).

I live in Europe and here we measure in centimetres.
But 10-12 cm it's okay,normal high heels.
Over 12 cm it's starting to look too much and feel inconfortable for a woman.
If it's a man who wears high heels I recommend it higher than usual, though it must be safe for walking.

The highest I went was a 5'' heel and it was a bit uncomfortable. Now my limit is a 4'' and that is pushing it.

the hardest to walk in is 6 inches (the platform kind) but it depends on how strong ur calf muscles are and how long u wanna spend on them. like if ur at a party for 6 hours or maybe at for for 10.

It depends on what you're used to and how long you're wearing them. My half sister can walk around in skinny 3 inchers while housecleaning, let alone what she wears when going out. I however am another story entirely.
