How can I get Century Gothic and other fonts that Vista doesn't have?

why doesn't Windows Vista have loads of fonts?

dafont doesn't have it
fonts.com does but i need a free one

is there a way of getting the fonts from my old computer to it using a cd or USB?

Fonts cost money to license. You may think of it as minor but fonts actually costs hundreds EACH, esp. the famous ones.

To copy them from your old PC, copy the TTF files in the old PC's windows/fonts folder to your flash or CD drive. Then go to Control panel / Fonts on the new PC, do install fonts, then point them at your flash or CD drive. Remember to specify "copy to my fonts folder" option.

You can go to http://www.dafont.com They have tons of fonts for free and all you have to do is download them. They tell you how to download and install them. It's quick and it's really easy. It should work with Windows Vista. I'm not sure why Vista doesn't have a lot of fonts because I have XP. I wish I could help you with that question but I can't. I hope that dafont will help you to get amazing and fun fonts for your computer.

I know what you mean i use to have mono type-corisiva that was nice but i have just bought a new PC with vista and like you i have searched for fonts however they seem to very hard to get hold of.

Well i thought it had quite a few new fonts actually.

Just go on:
http://www.dafont.com/search.php?psize=m&q=century+gothic

When you download it, extract it and then go on "Control Panel" and then onto classic view and onto the "Font" folder. Then drag it into that folder and it will install itself.
