I would want to know what was up, were they (are they still) running from the law?
A friend is a friend no matter what, we cannot judge their actions lest we too be judged...the better thing to do is to just be their friend, after all there was something that made them come back...

If they did leave and just return out of no where, I would cry and hug them and say i am happy your okay. I will look at them and say are you okay? Tell them when they are ready to talk about it, you will be there. Their are my friend regardless! :)

if they tried to contact me I'd probably make plans to meet for coffee and ask what happened. People sometimes need a chance to explain - there may be good reasons for their 'disappearance'. I certainly wouldn't care, i'd just be happy they're back!

Nothing. just treat them like normal and see if they are still the kind of person you want to be friends with. if not then don't make the effort

if you really like this friend you just give them a big hug welcoming them back. If you life is better without them just walk away.
