Studies also show that people are not necessarily inclined to vote someone who looks like them - women won't vote for Hilary because she's a woman & black people wont vote for obama because's he's black.
I definately look at this issues, and I will vote for who I think will take care of the counrty the best. But if i HAD to choose between two people with the exact same platform, I'd priotize the underdog - minority women, then minority men, white women, then white men.

Really intelligent people would not vote for someone just because they are the same sex or race that they were. I would never vote for Hillary even though I am a white woman

Neither. A persons beliefs, track record, etc., are what I look for in a candidate. Be they black, white, green or purple, men, women...it doesn't matter. What should be important is to weigh the issues and where they stand; then make an intelligent decision based on facts.

I'm white too. In daily life I gotta stand by my girls regardless of color. However, I will not be voting for Hilary. I agree with someone above, we just aren't ready for a female president. Although it would be funny to watch Bill as First Dude. (What would you call the presidents husband anyway?)

im black - i think it would be awesome to have a black or female president because that would symbolize huge strides made in our country but it all comes down to who holds my interests and who i feel will suit my vision of a better america.

Neither. . .race and sex don't matter to me. It's all about who is best for the job. In this case, I'm going for Obama.
