depending on your mood? Or do you have a preference and always stick to that one or two?

Most evenings it is either Southern Comfort or Jack. When I am sad I am a tequilla girl.

White wine with sea food and fruits

Red wine with steak and artichoke and asparagus type veggies

Beer with BBQ, Pilzners and or hefeweizen

I treat alcohol as a food and if you mix, like beer and wine together, you will get an awful headache.

So, you stick with one and in moderation. I will not drink both mixed drinks and wine or beer at the same time. Again, it will cause one to feel sick even if its in moderation.

Mixed drinks are:
Spring time: Ice cold vodka or mixed with grapefruit or pommagranite.

Summer time: Margaritas with the high end Tequila not the Quervo junk as its dirty stuff.

Fall time: Home made mint Julip with fresh crushed mint leaves with a poultice.

Winter time: Ale Beer with stews that include potatos.

Mood isn't a factor. Mostly I drink what's on hand and it depends what kind of mood I want to get in. For example:

I'll drink shots, to get drunk.
I'll drink Grey Goose with Lime on the rocks, when I want to enjoy the flavor of the vodka.
I'll drink cheap beer (coors light, miller lite) when it's hot and I want something refreshing.
I'll drink good beer (St. Arnold's brewing company, New Belgium Brewing Company) when I want to enjoy fine craftsmanship and flavor.
I'll drink Captain and coke when I just want a reliable great tasting drink, or something to smuggle into the movies.
I'll never drink Bud Light...unless I am very desperate.

Normally I reach for red wine, or an occasional beer...but when it is hot in the summer I love a vodka tonic with a twist of lime...finally, depending on my mood my choice would be a margarita on the rocks!

Fun question...I drink different things, depending on my mood or where we go...if we go eat Mexican food, margaritas always! Try a frozen rita with a shot of Disaronno...it's called a Disarita and it oh so yummy!

If we relax with a cocktail at home, I stick to vodka and cranberry...easy to make and they are my hubby's favorite drink.

I have just recently discovered Shiraz wine, which I love with a nice cut of steak...or a nice Chilean Merlot. Take a sip with each small bite of steak...delicious!

I'm not an emotional drinker. I don't drink to excess. I like a cocktail before dinner occasionally, but more often a glass or 2 of wine with dinner (maybe once or twice a week). I like to try different cocktails from time to time.

Different types depending on my mood. Sometimes it's a beer, sometimes a bloody mary, sometimes a margarita, and sometimes just straight shots of liquor (those are for the bad days).
