Oh my god does Stan Lee have any idea what one of his greatest creations is being reduced to? And if he has anything to do with this what the hell was he thinking? I mean you don't see creator of D.C. comics going around creating a oh I don't know a Tinsy Winsy Batman do you?

It's not nearly as bad as those happy little Hulk and Wolverine toys for kids.

edit: I can't believe Spider-Man didn't even spell his name right.

*sigh*...I know I'm gonna get punched in the kidney for this, but as the father of a three-month old girl I am rather glad Marvel has found a way to make their characters more accessible for little kids. Sure, she is only three months old but my two-year-old nephew loves the "Spider-Man & Friends" line. Being only two, he cannot read the comics and the movies are too violent. I say have a sense of humor about it. I am already buying kid-friendly comics for my little girl to enjoy when she's old enough and that start will hopefully transition into a love for comics in general as she gets older.

Lol, I saw the commercial for Itsy Bitsy Spider Man and spit my soda all over. I could see someone thinking of this but I just can't picture people sitting around in a conference room yelling "Brilliant".

There’s a lot of crud out there; some of it sells and some of it doesn’t.

Want a laugh? Check out “The Minimizer’s Shrinking Superheroines”, for a a web site with some guy’s dream: putting Supergirl, Batgirl, Buffy, Fairchild, etc., etc., into little test tubes to have and keep for his own forever….

I don't blame Stan the Man for crap like this...I blame the ad execs who make that stuff up. It is almost like Spiderman is incorporated now with all the toys and clothing and sheets and junk like that. I guess if it makes Spiderman more accessible to everyone and we keep getting great movies we should not complain, but I agree, the absurdity of it all is rather hard to swallow.

yeah....

they are always coming out with things like this, i think marvel and dc make toys like this to try and get really little kids framiliar with their brands and characters at a very young age.

i dont think stan lee is complaining since he still gets a fat paycheck from marvel.

I don't know precisely what you are referring to, but your question is indeed funny. Itsy Bitsy Spider Man? WTF?
