Does anyone believe in the powers of the ouija board? Yes, if why or if not, then why? Please give some detail if you can.

Guess I am the only one to correctly answer the question. Yes
I believe in the powers of the Ouija Board. It's powerful.When someone WANTS to communicate through the board the planchette will move. ON IT'S OWN. What would be the point of cheating - ? think. There's NO point. I have used a Ouija Board since I was 19 yrs old, folks, and I am a middle-aged woman, still alive, not 'possessed', never met the (haha) devil Some of the 'contacts' were pretty creepy but isn't that why people want to use it? So maybe you should not speak of what you do not know.

A simple OuiJa board can be made with slips of paper with letters on them and numbers if you wish, as well a two slips that say Yes and No. Arrange them in a circle on a smooth surface. Place an upside down glass in the middle of the circle and have those who wish to participate place a forefinger on the edge of the glasses bottom. Ask a question.
Remember, the glass and the slips have no power. Your hidden thoughts, needs, and sometimes devinations will start the glass moving for good or evil.

I, personally will never ever touch those things if I see one!!!
Got scared half to death when I was a child and saw an old horror movie from the 70's that had one in it. The woman was always using it in the movie when she got lonely and eventually got possessed, she kept using it because at first it was giving her help like if her husband cheated on her it would tell her and she just got so dependant on it......
Man, I hope I never ever see that movie again along with any ouija board!!!!

I am not sure about the power of the board - if it does anything it is, like a crystal ball - something that helps an individual do their thing a little easier than usual.
Having said that, I am not wholly skeptical of their ability to enable people to do things they otherwise could not - and would venture the following thought:-
If you think it can work -then please leave well alone, it seems to be far easier to contact something unpleasant than something pleasant.
If you think it is just a load of tosh - then please do not waste your time with it and do something else :)

Don't believe in any magical supernatural powers. Pshycologists have proven it's just a wooden board.

Nope - it's too easy for someone to manipulate it and make it give the answers they want it to. Besides, if you had all the supposed powers that a demon or devil is said to have, you use them to appear to just a bunch of pre-teen kids?

I don't know why really, I was basically raised to believe that I could get possesed. Creepy.
So I have never used one. And therefore I don't know.
However I think that it does work, but doesn't compel ghosts to communicate.
So according to my theory somtimes you can use it to communicate.

I don't believe in them simply because they're too easy to influence. Same with scrying crystals (though they're pretty and fun to collect) and dowsing rods.

No i don't believe in it, it would be cool if they worked but it doesn't as far as i know. My friends and i tried one and it only moved because we were pushing it.
