I hardly think so. Happiness is a state of mind. More poor people are happy than rich ones. It has been the same since time began. We have brief moments of joy. Happy people are ones that are content with what they have. They find that love is success . Not money. Even their happiness can be stolen by events.
Today is no different than year before except families are not as close and love is rare.
