Darlin' from Dara Lynn is a bit of a stretch, IMO. Of course I don't talk fast and I'm not from the south. I could see a strong southern drawl making it sound like Darlin'. I think it's a pretty name, though Lynn is sooo common as a middle name. Really...how often will she be called by her full name? I really doubt that people calling her Darlin' will be much of an issue.

Well, I'm not usually negative about peoples' names, but this one is pretty terrible. She'll be made fun of like no other when she gets to school (I know, I'm a teacher). Remember that your child has to live with this name for the rest of her life when you're no longer there to defend it. Pick something that is unique, but also professional sounding. No one would hire a doctor, lawyer, teacher, or any other professional with that name unless your daughter is a genius. You don't want her living in a trailer down by the river...I hope you see this with a good sense of humor--when I was naming, I made sure to think of EVERY possibility. Choose a name that means something to you and that you can live with. If your husband wants to name the baby this and by just asking, it seems to me that you are uncertain. It's like a tattoo only it can't be covered: if you can think about it and live with it for a few weeks or a month with seeing and hearing it over and over again, then it's a winner. Otherwise, toss it aside.

Name the child something she won't end up labeled for. And let him call her darlin' as an endearment. My niece's initials spell LOVED. Two middle names, two last names. When she was adopted, it now says LOVD. Now it's more like a license plate.
What if Darlin' marries someone with a terrible last name? Darlin' Stankle, Darlin' Spuge. It could be bad.

My name is Dana and I alays liked having a short, easy-to-say, easy-to -spell name no one messes up. Maybe a differnt middle name will make it a little less cutesy and southern. Maybe something modern and sassy like Claire or Brice. Good luck. I like the name Dara, but calling a kid Darlin' is a little too much.

Dara is actually very cute!!But Lynn...a bit boring. And she might get teased in school.
Are you going to call her just Dara and not really use the Lynn or is she going to be called Dara Lynn everyday?

I think it is kind of hokey. I would go with something else like Dara Zoe or Emma Lynn. Those are better. And just think of how much teasing she will get in school if you call her darlin'. That isn't very nice.

neither is my kind, yet i'd might want to assert Serenity Lynn...Serenity looks somewhat tacky, I favor Serena, in spite of the indisputable fact that that's a minimum of fantastically and uncommon...Taylor is boringly overused and thoroughly unpretty. both middle names look established...Lynn is only undeniable blah, Rose is fantastically inspite of being overused yet doesn't bypass with Taylor. i'd honestly %. something better outstanding and/or significant for the middle. Even Serenity Taylor should be better functional than Serenity Lynn, because you want both Serenity and Taylor sufficient to think about them as first names.
