He logs a lot of minutes, which is important for a team as thin as the Lakers. That said, he has never really figured out how to assert himself on the offensive end. His team doesn't need 5 assists per game from him, it needs 20 ppg.

He is an above-average player, but seems destined to never fulfill his all-star potential.

No. He has great all around stats. Look how he led the Lakers early on without Kobe. What makes his game inconsistent is whether or not Kobe is shooting for 60 points or 30 points. Nobody on that team can have great stats when he is hoisting 40+ shots. He fills up all the stats I need on my fantasy team. If you look at any of the bad games this year it when Kobe tries to be the only one out there. Jordan would go off for a big scoring night if he was A. On Fire, or B. the team was struggling. Kobe will go for it before knowing if his team is going to struggle that night. And that is why A. Jordan is better, and B. Odom does not suck.

Lamar Odom in my opinion is one of the most versatile players in the NBA. At 6' 10 he is capable of dribbling like a point guard as well as pass well and rebound. In my eyes he is very underrated. He is seen as very inconsistent but a part of that is that he plays with a person that can dominate any game. It is hard for anybody to coexist with firepower like Kobe Bryant.

Lamar Odom doesn't suck but he is a very good player. the problem is when you play with someone like Kobe everyone else is just so far behind. Odom did well with the Heat and he would do really well in someone elses offensive system. the triangle doesn't work to his advantage.

initially i hate the lakers yet nevertheless understand extra about them thenA LOT of human beings. Odom can shoot threes. Odom cancontinual by ability of the lane for layups. Odom can graceful freethrows. Odom can scouse borrow the ball. Odom can Block the ball. Odom can rebound the ball. So i imagine Odom is a quite sturdy ball participant. notwithstanding at the same time as his team needs him the most he loses it for them. adversarial to The Miami warmth Odom neglected huge free throws. Odom isn't that sturdy of a participant yet he does no longer suck. YS-Paul Pierce does no longer stink!!!

Nah, Lamar Odom is a very good player, he just needs to be traded, he doesn't fit well on the lakers, nor does him and Kobe mesh well....If he goes to a different team his talents will show, just as Caron Butlers did.

He is very inconsistent and is a wannabe point guard. He would rather get 5 assists than drop 25 points. He needs to assert himself more on the offensive end because he can defitinitely make things happen.

I agree! If the management hadn't been stupid and done it's job in the first place and got rid of him, then they would have a better record and not be on the verge of not making the playoffs.
