You should eat 25 to 35 gr of fibre per day. You can check the fibre content of food on the nutrition label. You should aim to eat things with at least 3 gr of fibre per serving. Stick with whole wheat breads, high fibre cereals and LOTS of fruits and veggies. Stay away from juice, and drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Eating too many processed things like white bread, cookies, and sweets, and deep fried food will cause constipation, so really try to eat healthfully, and you shouldn't have to use that disgusting stuff!

I used to have this problem when I was younger, sometimes so bad that it hurt and I dreaded going to the bathroom. I tried all the different advice people gave me about fiber and various ways to consume it. Finally, somewhere in an alternative medicine book, I read that many constipation problems are caused not necessarily by a lack of fiber alone, but also may be caused by a lack of lubrication in the large intestine. Now at first that may sound nasty, until you know a little bit about how our guts work. In a nutshell, just like any moving things that have to interact with eachother, they need some source of lubrication to counteract friction. Many people's diets are significantly lacking in specialized oils that promote this sort of lubrication. That combined with an increase in fiber can equal an even worse case of constipation.

To counteract this I started taking a supplement of flax oil (in pill form) and literally, within days my constipation was gone! I have taken flax oil regularly ever since, and have never had constipation again. You can get flax oil at any natural food store, and even some drug stores which have a variety of diet supplements and vitamins. Flax oil is perfectly safe to take (as far as I know) and is not habit forming, unlike traditional laxatives.

Eat foods that are naturally high in fiber, and drink lots of fresh water. Dates are very tasty and have lots of fiber, as well as most other dried fruits. Check the packaging and avoid fruits preserved with sulphur dioxide.

Whole grain cereals and products made with whole grain are also very good. Flax is great - you can get flaxseed from the health food store and grind it up in a grinder, and sprinkle it over your cereal. 1 to 2 tablespoons of ground flax per day should help. Flax oil should be a good healthy substitute for the mineral oil - try it sprinkled over salads. It's great for your skin, too.

See the question above yours! She's drinking some type of aloevera juice. Go to your local health store (not a pharmacy) and tell them that you need something to cleanse a colon. There are so many people doing this now that they won't think twice about it. Don't be embarrased. Once you've done the cleanse, you should only have to maintain by eating lots of fiber and drinking lots of water. Try not to eat fast food and greasy stuff. That will just clog you up.

Firstly no need to be embarassed, poop is very natural and as you can see from below, people love to talk about it.
As mentioned fiber is key. Also lots of fruits and water.
From personal experience I have found that soft fruits- such as papaya, mango, peaches, cantalope are good as well. And you can make them into delicous smoothies with a fiber supplement, so people wont know that your eating them to poop.
Its also worth talking to someone you trust in your family (not for support but to see if they have the same problem) and your doctor to find out what they would recommend.

Take a mild laxative. Then eat a lot of fiber and drink a lot of water every day. Raw fruits and veggies are high in fiber as are loads of breakfast cereals. And water is plentiful. Cut back on processed sugars. And a glass of prune juice in the morning will keep you a regular girl for a while.

A cup of espresso and a cigarette I even have heard of a BigMac doing the job - I actual does no longer advise the eating of plastic for healing however. As you're on the alternative drugs website i'd advise merely a organic wholefood which includes CHIA SEEDS aka chuffed seeds. they're jam full of fibre, help with melancholy, short interest span, coronary heart dis-ease, they're an anti inflammatory, lowers intense blood stress, super for diabetes, thins the blood - unquestionably it would be less demanding to checklist what they do no longer do. hint; If the foodstuff won't be able to turn undesirable - it rather is undesirable for you. See your local chiropractor. What may be happining is that your lumbar vertebra are in a fixated (not moving) state and can be causing a decrease in the nerve conductivity to your bowels. A chiropractor will be able to tell you if you have this problem whether or not he can help you. It def. will not hurt to try because it is very inexpensive and most health insurance companies cover chiropractic treatment.

Go to your local health food store and buy a bottle of magnesium. It acts as a natural laxative. Take 300 milligrams a day. It works for me, and magnesium is good for you.
