No I don't agree that you should stand by and let a drowning person drown when you have a perfectly serviceable life jacket to throw to them. Also I don't agree in forcing and actually that's impossible because you can make another person say something with threats but only God can change a heart. And people only belong to him with a free will choice. Relationship not dictatorship.
I just wish everyone would stop being so agreeable willy nilly wet wipes. Remember what happened to Rome.
I've never seen such a load of damp wringing sweaty handed answers in all my life. STAND UP and be BOLD. Where are you all?

I am a born again Christian of a Pentecostal bent. I suppose I am considered a fundementalist. I firmly believe in evangelism of the gospel but to me the fundementals of Christianity are to obey God and to respect every other human being.
I may disagree with something someone does and I believe I should have the right to say I disagree with something - other people take it as read that they have the right to say they disagree with practically everything I stand for and they do, as often as they can.
However, I don't agree that I have the right to harm another person least of all kill them. If someone doesn't want to hear the gospel; that's their loss and I'm not to force it on them
How can you force someone to believe something? You may be able to force them to say they believe but I doubt they will believe it if it's a forced declaration.
I've been looking back over the previous answers and people with no belief just can't seem to help taking a pop at those of us with one. I have not addled my brain by believing (I've been a Christian for 24 years, since I was 17), nor am I of low intellect (stupid). I am one of the more broadminded people I know and love to learn about the world, science, nature and other cultures. For instance, I am flabbergasted that most people I work with have no idea that Pluto was downgraded last year and we only have eight planets in the solar system now.
I doubt many of them would be able to tell me how long ago it was that the dinosaurs died out (65 million years ago, at the end of the Cretaceous Period). The word Jurasic brings to mind a film not another era when the super continent of Pangea began to break up. In fact when I start to get enthusiastic about such matters, I'm told to shut up because they're not interested.
So when you feel superior because you are intelligent enough not to need a god just remember that there are people out here who have the intelligence to know that the Universe is just too fantastic not to have had some sort of design behind it.

I for one definitely believe that it is every persons right to believe and follow any religion they wish to follow and should not be forced to do what others press on them. I further do not believe in wars or hate speeches or otherwise

I will tell you about my Religion. I will answer questions & I will invite you to service.
After you tell me no...I'll leave it alone. I will still talk to you, and be the same person I was before.
Being intolerant is so UnChristian.
If I hated you because of your decisons how could I ever call myslef Christian? I may not like the things you believe or do but it is not up to me to condem you for it.

I prefer the word 'Belief'. A religion is usually defined by somebody else, most often the ones who won the power struggle (see early Christianity or Islam as but two examples) and got to build the churches and make the rules.
Believe in whatever gets you through the day, but always remember that most pagan of sayings; an' it harm none.

Absolutely... At the end of the day every one of us has the right to be who we are and do what we want and believe in what or who we want to believe in.
We are all part of the same race and live on the same planet.
If we were all the same and believed in the same things the world would be very boring.

I believe so. Choosing a religion is very personal. The decision is done through evaluation of one's personality and life experiences. They will chose the religion that appeals to them to most and answer any question they may have. Since not everyone is the same or have the same life experiences, they will choose different religions.

Of course. Each to his own. And wouldn't it be a much better place if we were allowed this privilege? Im not religious at all but i do have my own belief system and im completely happy with that. There are others around who wouldn't approve but then, it has nothing to do with them and doesn't effect them at all. Why do others feel the need to convert when a person is happy as they are?

No. Religion is society's acceptance of ignorance, and it is not good enough to talk of not forcing views. . children are brought up as 'Catholic Children' or 'Protestant Children' or 'Muslim Children', which of course they are not. They are children being brought up by parents of a particular faith. Which I believe is child abuse.
Faith is not good. Faith is an acceptance of ignorance. 'I have faith in miracles' ..in the Resurrection'. . in angels or whatever. . is just an attempt to justify ignorance.
The idea we should respect 'Faith', which is the acceptance of ignorance as fact is a nonsense.
Should I respect a 'faith' which circumcises young girls?
Should I respect a faith which advocates Hell to children who dare question?
Should I respect a faith promising 20 virgins to Suicide Bombers?
Should I respect a faith which tell me the world started 6000 BC?
Faith is another word for Ignorance and the sooner the world is rid of it the better.

each faith has his very own followers ..whom inerpet the holly books...and instruct aspects which will serve their very very own pastime & they are going to keep away from the sections that conflict their very own believes & hate.- no count what you will tell, teach or teach to a fanatic...the fanatic won't replace his or her suggestions or approaches and this individual male or woman will proceed the distranctive way of life. followers must be watched and the 2d they start to do unlawful noves commencing to coronary heart others must be pronounced to the right government for ideal arest and punishement for the crimes they comited or plan to do in the call of their God or Gods and their unproper believes...that has no longer something to do with the genuine teachings of the religion that supose to stick to.
