There are several. If you mean the ones that are banded, red, yellow and black, those are either king snakes or milk snakes. They look like Coral snakes with the marking out of order. They can range from as small as 10 inches to a several feet. If you mean the ones that are just hanging around in your yard, they are probably garter snakes. There are really small ones, depending where you live, that are ring neck snakes or redbellied snakes.

you need to narrow it down, I can probably think of a dozen nonvenomous snakes that stay small. And how small are you talking about? Under a foot? Under three feet? What I consider a small snake might be huge as far as you're concerned. I refuse to answer this question with any more details than you have given. Oh, and no snake stays the same size, like any reptile, they all continue growing throughout their lives... maybe not enough to really be noticed, but they all grow until they die.

Colubrids are in many circumstances the most proper puppy snakes. those contain corns, kings, milks, rat snakes, ect. i'd stay faraway from the pythons, even ball pythons get 5 ft lengthy and a fantastically large girth. Which ever species of snake you opt for please do your study before you purchase. I propose feeding the snake frozen ingredients (thawed). i comprehend there is quite some discussion and that is all a remember of opinion. stay ingredients carry ailment, parasites, can turn and attack the snake (considered it take position many circumstances)and are better sturdy to keep. also at the same time as a snake is fed stay it friends move with nutrition, no longer the scent. they have a tendency to be better nutrition pushed and would mistake a hand or finger for lunch. also feed it in a seperate field, so it does no longer associate the cage placing out to nutrition comming. only a tenet. sturdy good fortune!
