Miss Curren first, she was my 4th grade teacher, An older woman, sweet as could be and used to read wonderful stories to us as we all sat in a group around her on the floor and listened so intently
.
Miss Grieb was second, she was my 8th grade math teacher...one of the few teachers in my life that seemed to give a dam about whether I learned any thing or not.
I still remember these two and a few others, and it's been almost 30 years ago that I graduated high school. Isn't it wonderful that you can teach someone and 30 plus years later, they still look back on you as one of the good parts of their lives?

My third grade teacher. I actually recently wrote her a letter telling her how she impacted my life, I know teachers love to hear from former students. Gosh, that was 30 years ago! She encouraged my writing. Oh, her name is Esther Swinehart.

Richard MacKinnon... he taught grades 11 and 12 pre-calculus and calculus. Loved that man. He is a powerful teacher, a powerful encourager... and one of the kindest human beings I have ever known.

Mr.McCabe, US History. I think he was probably the best teacher i ever had, because he didn't just tell us what happened. He showed us through a program called living history, and it really helped me understand. Plus it was really fun.
