I'm confused. Payton is a boys name and Elizabeth is a girls name. So who is getting the middle name? The son Payton or the daughter Elizabeth?

Will it be hyphenated such as Elizabeth-Lin?

I like Payton, but for a boy, not a girl.

Best wishes!
