So you really want to name your daughter Shital. You don't SEE that as being a problem in school? For the sake of your daughter, I would go with Monika.

Monica is nice and spelling it with a K would make the name different.

Sheetal could be embarrassing if mispronounced (which spent with the I you can almost guarantee it will be said as Sh!t-tal by most people at first) or shortened - would you want the poor girl to be called Sh!t or Shite in school? because most kids shorten their friends names to the first sound only (e.g Amy to Aim, Rowan, to Row, Lucy and Luke to Lu, Kelly to Kell, Rachel to Rache)

I think Monica(spelt the normal way) is a better idea than any name that contains the word Sh it. Or had this not occurred to you?
