To get respect, you must give respect. If you ask a whiny, anti-something question, you must expect to receive replies in kind. Ask a sensible question, there is no excuse for getting insulted.

I had some putz report me this morning because I answered his absurd question about Condi Rice by calling him a sore-***. Little whiner cost me 12 points.

Generally it is not a good way to answer a question. You especially deserve respect because your questions and answers are well thought out and well expressed. You obviously put a lot of thought and effort into your submissions. People who attack you personally do so because they realize they cannot counter your arguments rationally.

I think it shows that they don't have an intelligent response. I'll be honest - the human side of me comes out every now and then and I do get a chuckle out of a few answers. But don't let them bother you...

For some reason, I believe the disrepect or abuse by the answerer legitimizes the Asker's question even more.

Usually, I just laugh - especially if their reponse is funny.

But the misogynists who immediately turn to sexual slams because they can't make their own argument - they piss me off. Of course, there's no point in getting mad - it doesn't solve anything - but there it is.
