They used the basics that every pre-modern society used ... from the bow and arrow to the bow-drill to start fires; they used levels and basic pulleys and also used rocks as knives to clean, hunt/kill and protect fires. They used shells as money and bone as knives. They used traps made from trees and ropes, and they also used branches and rope as fish nets and traps. These are all examples of technology, but they are common to many tribes and peoples.
