The instructions that came with almost all of the marble in my home say not to use any acidic products on the stone. There is a kit you can buy at the home improvement stores by TileLab that may remove the burn mark. Look for the one that says "restore" as it has a poultice and the supplies you will need to safely remove the burn mark. If it doesn't work (depending upon how deep the burn is) you are looking at having a re-finisher buff it out.

Try lemon juice. Marble is so porous that it soaks anything up so watch and don't let them lemon juice add another stain. It will depend on how te countertop was sealed if it works or not. good luck.

Im sorry... thats rough. I would try light sandpaper and then maybe some sort of gloss over it? or you could paint the countertop or stain it... haha...

Try fine steel wool from a hardware or Home Center. Rub lightly and then polish.
