Yes, it happened in our dishwasher too. Then I checked out the manual under the troubleshooting section and discovered that I needed to clean out the dishwasher. First, remove the filter at the bottom. In mine, it is held on by 4 screws and lifts out (you have to remove the bottom rack to do this). Turn the plastic filter upside down and you will amaze yourself with the amount of food stuck to the bottom side and there is a also a film of grease on it. Clean this thoroughly in the sink with a soft brush (I used a toothbrush and dish washing soap). Look under the filter where you will see even more food particles which you can fish out with that toothbrush. To degrease it, add vinegar, about a cup, to the bottom of the dishwasher when you put the filter back on. Then add baking soda to the soap dispenser. Run the dishwasher empty with the vinegar and baking soda on the longest setting with the hottest water. Air dry the unit to save energy. The vinegar and baking soda clean out the stuck on food particles, degrease the walls, racks and will keep those sand like particles from adhering to your glasses during the dry cycle. My manual says to do this once monthly, but in the real world, I do it when I notice stuff sticking to the glasses again.

Is the water hot enough? Is the dishwashe getting water or is the inlet filter plugged? Are you using a wetting agent like Jet Dry?

Open the door while the dishwasher is in cycle, when you do, you should see the water dripping down off the top rack, and a level of water in the bottom of the washer.

Do the dishes get clean? You may want to call a repairman and have him take a look. Good luck

Try changing dishwasher soap. I use the electrasol cake like things with the power ball in them for a jet dry. The glasses come out clean with no spots.

You might also want to pick up what they call a dish washer cleaner and let it cycle through you dishwasher to clear out any **** that may be in your dishwasher and recirculating with each cycle.

Sounds to me like your dishwasher needs to be cleaned, take some "Tang" and put it in the dispensers and run it thru empty. Hope this helps.

IF YOU ARE USING POWDER OR SOLID TABLETS, TRY USING LIQUID DISHWASHER SOAP, IT WORKS BETTER
