I always turn my light on with a flashlight , so I can read what's on the switch

Are you wanting them to say "something in the middle"? That is called a dimmer switch

maybe if its because incase the light bulb blows ull know if the electricity is going to it or not?? i dont know for sure tho lol

If you use a flashlight, you can read it when it's off. Then you'll know.

Good point. And also, if you're going to be technical, you should mark them "open" and "closed", not "off" and "on".
