i know that cold water makes your hair shinier, and i have heard it also closes pores. but i couldnt stand a completely cold shower, so i take a hot shower until im about to turn the shower off- then i reach over and turn it cold for a 2 minutes. then hot for a second, and then turn it off.

I think I heard something that it was better to take warm showers in the summer and cool showers in the winter because your body can adjust to the temperature better which makes some sense but I never did it. I always take hot showers. But I think it can affect your hair too like frizziness because it opens up the follicle...I wouldnt know where to find out for sure though

Warm water is good. Hot water will dry your skin out faster than cold, but Alondra is right, "Who wants to take a cold shower."

my dermatologist recommended some where between warm and hot. Hot water can actually dry your skin out more. Cold, there is just no purpose to them.

I like a very hot shower, it opens the pores and allows deeper cleansing, then I turn it as cool as I can stand, to close pores and maintain youthful skin and complexion.
I don't really know the health benefits, it's just refreshing and my personal ritual.
