I'm 23 weeks pregnant and we know it's a girl. My favorite name is Isabella but my husband hates, hates, hates it. We've decided to wait until the baby comes to name her but our 2 favorite names are Holly (his fav.) and Alexis (mine). What do these names remind you of or make you think of? Suggestions for middle names??

Alexis is really really common right now. I like Holly, it reminds me of Christmas, and for most people that's a happy feeling. It's a natural name, too and that's nice.
Oh, don't make it Holli. My mom did that to my sister. She's now 32 years old. Every time someone is filling out a form for her, she has to say, "Oh, no it's H-O-L-L-I. Yeah my mother thought it would be cute." Go with Holly.

I like the name Holly, don't like the name Alexis at all. You could do Holly Alexis so that your baby girl would have both your and your husband's fave names.

I really like the name Alexis but i'm not to fond of the name Holly just because every one that i know whos name is Holly is either scum, loud, annoying, and/or just ignorant. I like the name, just not the people. but this is funny because my sister's name is Alexis and her best friend's name is Holly. (Alexis Lee)

i like Jordan for a girl but thats just me. when i hear the name holly i think of christmas time...lol but it's whatever ya'll agree on really maybe ya'll could name the baby holly alexis. or something so both names will be used. hope this helped

I think Holly is completely overused... I can seriously think of 5 Holly's that I personally know without even trying... if I actually sat down and listed all the Holly's I know, it would be a HUGE list. So I wouldn't use it since it's so common. Alexis is nice, I just like how it sounds.
