Hi, I'm looking for a new vacuum because my old one goes through belts like every month and it really does loose suctions after about 20 sweeps. What's your favorite vaccum?

If you can afford one dyson is bar far the best vaccum out there. I never really could see spending five or six hundred dollars on a vaccuum but once you use a dyson you will wonder how you ever lived without one. The suction on the thing is incredible. In addition the filters on it are first rate. Once you see how much dirt your dyson picks up you will not believe it. Take your old vaccuum and vaccuum and then go behind it with the dysun and see how much dirt it picks up after. You can do it with any vaccuum. In addition the tools are brilliantly designed. My advice is to find someone you know that has a dyson and test it out. Once you do I suspect you wont want any other vaccuum.

Dyson isn't the only vacuum that does the cool suction thingy, the only reason why it's so popular is because the English guy who created it has money to advertise it. Try another brand than Dyson that does the same thing.

Dyson, hoover, Kirby, they are all good machines, which one is best depends on who you listen to. Kirby's have always been an excellent machine, but it is the cost. They have priced themselves out of the market as far as I'm concerned.
Dyson seems to be the flavor of the month now, because they do the most advertising, Hoover is the old standby, and Oreck is the choice for hotels and restaurants normally. So close your eyes and take a pick. Hoover and Oreck are good choices.

Ihave the Dyson animal and it rocks. A couple downsides to it though, You can't vacuum little cheap throw rugs with it because it is way too strong and will tear it up. the other thing is that it's not hypoallergenic, it doesn't have a hepa filter or anything like that. But it works like nothing I've ever had before.

I bought a DYSON because I believed the hype....BIG MISTAKE. I had nothing but trouble with it for over two years until it broke down, and I was actually relieved so I could go buy a new cleaner! It kept losing suction (even though it's not supposed to), the wire kept fraying, it would overheat....It cost just under £300 and it wasn't worth a penny. I went out and bought a £29.99 Electrolux hoover, and it was the best one I've EVER bought.
Every one of my friends that had a DYSON swore that it was the worst buy they made. HONESTLY.
NEVER AGAIN!!

Well DYSON , for me is the best . My son suffer´s from allergies, so it really lift´s every little bit of dust ,also good for hard floor´s , I have all ceramic flooring through out my home . pass the Dyson and it look´s like you have just washed the floor, No bag, less money to pay out, easy to change filter, easy to wash filter. Just run the filter under the tap , leave to dry for 12 hrs, pop back in without in problem´s great . Okay their are other hoover´s out there , but for me the Dyson is one of the best

no, it's cheaply built and the front of it sits so low that it ends up pushing a lot of stuff around instead of picking it up plus, emptying that container is messy and unhealthy. i've had one and i was really unhappy with the quality of the thing as a whole.
they can be hard to maneuver, too.

look for an orick. they're light, powerful and well built and you don't have to breath in the dust when emptying the bag.

I have had Panasonic for years, I love it. It has a bypass motor so metal things don't ruin it if they are accidentally sucked up.

I have no desire for a Dyson, I think they don't last and they're ugly, huge and overrated.
